Hazardous materials store SC 2H 415
Item number: 274678W
- Maximum flexibility for mixed storage of 205 litre drums and IBCs.
- With General Technical Approval No. Z-38.5-318 valid throughout Germany from the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) for the storage of liquids in all water hazard classes.
- Different versions according to fabric properties (e.g. frost-free for temperature-sensitive fabrics) and extra-deep version available.
- When storing flammable substances, the following must be observed: Compliance with safety distances - Equipotential bonding / earthing - Technical ventilation during active storage.
- Storage levels equipped with removable, hot-dip galvanised grids (load capacity: 1,250 kg/m²).
- Base: tested, single-piece spill pallet with easily removable hot-dip galvanised grids. The store has 100 mm clearance for access underneath using a hand operated electric stacker.
- External cladding: galvanised components with two layers of paint give long lasting protection.
- Designed for storing up to 24 x 205 litre drums or 6 x 1,000 litre IBC.
- Front long side closed with lockable 2-wing door
- Points to consider for the storage of flammable substances: safety distances and equipotential bonding / earthing - technical ventilation must be ensured for active storage
Structural analysis
The structural calculations for the technical room system are based on Eurocode 3 (EN 1993). The loads on the structure are measured according to Eurocode 1 (EN 1991-1-3) for a characteristic wind load qk,w = 0.585 kN/m² and a ground snow load sk = 2.5 kN/m². The structure is also designed for earthquake zone 3 according to EN 4149, EN 1998-1:2004.
Guidelines for storing flammable liquids (flash point ≤ 60 ° C, classes H226, H225 and H224)
- Observe distance from fire loads (mostly min. 10 m)
- Create equipotential bonding (earthing) (connection point provided); if required provide lightning protection
- Country-specific requirements for air exchange rate
- Specifications in accordance with HSG71
- Specifications in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
