Containment for lithium applications

Work processes involving the handling of lithium-ion cell materials harbour a considerable health risk. As a rule, these cells contain hazardous substances for which strict occupational exposure limits (OELs) apply. Whether it is the examination of cells, prototyping, the handling of cell raw materials or the opening of cells - employees can come into contact with hazardous substances in these applications.

In these critical situations, containment systems from DENIOS are the solution for occupational safety and emission control in the working environment. Our containment systems are made of high-quality materials and offer effective technical protection for lithium applications. They minimise the risk of emissions spreading and ensure the health and safety of employees.

AT Li-Ion worktable

DENIOS has developed a new disassembly and testing table for lithium batteries that offers maximum safety when working with lithium cell material.

The air-technical protection principle in combination with the safety front screen fulfils a protection level up to and including OEB 4 (1-10 µg/m³). This corresponds, for example, to compliance with the occupational exposure limit value for cobalt - a common component of lithium battery cells.

A water basin and smoke extraction function can be optionally integrated to enable rapid containment of the cell reaction in the event of an accident. We would be happy to advise you on other individual requirements.
