Various sizes and storage capacities ensure tailor-made storage options and optimal use of available space in the company.
Fire protection up to REI 120
Regardless of the Europe-wide uniform classification system, national regulations and legislation sometimes require different classification times. For example, while in Germany, Austria and Switzerland a classification according to F 90 / REI 90 is state of the art, REI 120 is relevant in other European countries. These are currently France, Spain, Italy and Poland. With a fireproof warehouse from DENIOS you are on the safe side internationally! Because we offer you products for all fire protection classes required in Europe.

Our claim as a developer and manufacturer of technical room systems is to offer you comprehensive legal security in the matter of fire protection. Therefore, we offer technical room systems for all fire protection classes required in Europe. The conformity of our fire protection systems is confirmed by accredited and independent test institutes.
Tested & certified - as a complete system.
A fire rated container must be reliable as a whole system and be able to withstand the effects of fire in various ways. Therefore, at DENIOS we are not satisfied with having individual components of our fire protection systems checked and certified. Our fire rated containers are always tested as a complete system. For you, this means the best possible security in terms of corporate values, employee protection and insurance coverage. Building permits are also noticeably shorter if the fire protection stores already meet all the necessary standards and do not need to be checked with individual proofs.
DIBt - general building inspectorate approval with 90-minute fire protection
In Germany a general building inspectorate approval is mandatory and this is granted by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) - The German Institute for Buildings.
Although this is a German approval, all our room systems manufactured in the UK are DiBt approved which is reliable proof that DENIOS products ensure the safe and secure storage of dangerous substances.
REI 90 Classification
Das Institut für Brandschutztechnik und Sicherheitsforschung (iBS) - The Institute for Fire Protection Technology and Safety Research - is an independent testing and certification body for construction products and technical fire protection systems. Within the framework of fire resistance and fire behaviour tests, the iBS as a Notified Body determines the fire resistance of construction products in accordance with European standards and test methods. Load capacity, room closure and thermal insulation of the room system according to EN 13501-2 are determined and a classification for the entire system is made. An official test report certifies the determined fire resistance and serves as proof for approval authorities and property insurers. DENIOS fire protection systems have been classified as REI 90 by iBS Linz and are therefore suitable for use in all European countries that require REI 90 fire protection or less.
REI 120 Classification
In order to classify a fire protection system according to REI 120, it must be able to withstand fire for at least 120 minutes in terms of load capacity, room closure and thermal insulation. DENIOS fire rated containers have passed the Efectis fire resistance tests according to EN 13501-2, taking into account the highest requirements.
With its laboratory accredited for more than 40 years, Efectis France is a Notified Body for the certification and testing of fire protection products. An official test report certifies the REI 120 classification of our room systems in countries with particularly stringent fire safety regulations. This way, you can always be sure - even in countries such as France, Italy, Spain and Poland, where REI 120 fire protection is currently required, DENIOS fire protection systems have demonstrably met the legal requirements.

Worldwide fire protection competence
Even in the individual European countries, there are different requirements for fire protection despite a common classification system. It is therefore not surprising that the topic is anything but uniformly regulated worldwide. DENIOS customers benefit from our many years of experience on an international level. For example, we also supply our customers with safe fireproof storage worldwide in accordance with country-specific legislation. For example in the USA and China:
USA: Fire protection record with 4 hours
In the US, the NFPA, the National Fire Protection Association, is the determining factor in all fire protection issues. The NFPA corresponds approximately to the Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection in Germany. In addition, the requirements of FM global, the world's largest insurer for companies and industry, apply. As a result, fire safety systems in the US will need to provide either two or four hours of fire protection, depending on the individual case of the local authorities. However, the demonstration of fire resistance is based on other test methods than in Europe: according to American regulations, the factor room closure is primarily decisive, i. the fire must not leave the interior of the fire protection warehouse over the defined period of time. FM global has described, among other things, how systems must be designed to meet the requirements. In the development and production of fire protection systems for the US market, we work strictly according to these specifications.
China: Regional regulations are relevant
In China, we do not believe there is any relevant legislation for room systems. Chinese laws deal with solid structures or buildings. DENIOS bases its classification of room systems on the general understanding that fire protection warehouses are building products or "buildings". Our Chinese customers are therefore often guided by the requirements of the country from which the manufacturer of the system comes from. Similar to the Netherlands, there is a type of collection directive, GB 15603/1995. Here GHS and REACH are introduced as authoritative and laid the foundations for the storage of hazardous substances. In addition, in matters of fire safety, Decree 591 is consulted.
The DENIOS Range
DENIOS fire protection systems can be designed and equipped to meet any requirement - no matter where in the world they should be used. In the uncomplicated handling of approval authorities and property insurers, we support you with our many years of know-how and with comprehensive and recognised documents.
When you work with highly flammable or otherwise hazardous materials, you have a duty to ensure that they are stored in safe conditions. At DENIOS UK, we offer a range of fire storage solutions that are fully compliant with European EN 13501-2 regulatory requirements. These storage facilities help ensure that your workplace is compliant with environmental protection legislation and give your staff time to evacuate if an accident occurs.
Fire rated storage cabinets for drums are designed for the storage of whole drums or for pallets that each contain several drums. Fire rated storage drums and IBC containers secure drums, IBCs or goods packed on pallets. Walk-in fire rated storage containers provide extensive fire-safe storage space and are widely used across Europe.
The fire rated storage cabinets that we stock at DENIOS UK are available in a range of different sizes and are designed to hold back fire for 120 minutes, giving you time to take any necessary further precautions against fire spreading, call the emergency services, and fully evacuate your employees to a safe distance.
These flammable storage containers are available with one or two levels and can store as many as 32 drums of standard size or 16 Euro-pallets. If you choose a two-level storage cabinet, you will normally need a forklift attachment to lift drums in and out of it.
For effective use, fireproof storage containers should always be kept closed except when materials are being moved in or out of them. They should always be checked at the end of the working day to make sure that they are properly closed, and they should never be left open for convenience.
When properly used, these flammable storage solutions enable you to safely store flammable materials in your workplace where they are easy to access.
The DENIOS UK range of fireproof IBC and drum storage solutions is used across Europe and meets the highest regulatory standards. Designed to hold pallets, drums or IBCs, they can be fitted with additional shelves to provide added convenience when storing smaller items.
Versions of these fire rated storage containers are available with built-in heating systems or technical ventilation systems, allowing you to optimise conditions for the safe maintenance and longevity of the chemicals with which you’re working. Built-in explosion protection is also available, and internal lighting systems can be set up to make it easier to find what you need.
You can choose between different types of doors to allow you to pick something that will fit easily into your workplace without obstructing movement or other equipment. They are also available in different sizes, starting from single IBC containers, making them suitable for many different types of business.
The popularity of these storage systems and their established use will provide reassurance to workers dealing with hazardous materials. If they are used properly, they can contribute a great deal to work safety.
Built like cupboards or whole additional rooms that can be positioned within or adjacent to your workplace, DENIOS UK walk-in fire rated storage containers offer the most spacious fire-safe storage option to help you meet environmental protection requirements. They provide up to 120 minutes of time in which to evacuate in the case of an internal fire or extinguish an external fire.
The largest containers in this range offer over 20m² of operational storage space with a ceiling height of up to 2.5 metres. Different dimensions provide plenty of choice when working out how to position the container on your premises, and variable door positions add to this flexibility. Some of the walk-in containers come with their own ramps for added convenience when moving drums in and out of them.
Shelving units can be fitted inside the larger containers to facilitate easier storage of small items, and pallets can be stacked within them. Internal lighting systems are also available. Along with flammable substances, they can be used for the secure storage of materials with the potential to pollute water sources.
Using a walk-in flammable storage solution like this provides maximum convenience for your staff when accessing hazardous materials while ensuring the highest level of fire protection in the workplace. For them to work effectively, it is essential that the doors are kept closed when they’re not in use, but they should never be closed when someone is inside.
