- Industry 4.0: The integrated KERN Universal Port (KUP) allows the connection of external KUP interface adapters, such as RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet (optionally available as accessories). With the optional KERN KUP-13 extension box, up to three KUP interface adapters can be operated in parallel on the scale.
- The KUP interface adapters are plugged on so that interfaces can be easily retrofitted without opening the scale housing or complicated installation. Control commands and data input can be sent to the scale via the connected equipment.
- KERN Communication Protocol (KCP): The KCP allows the balance to be queried and remotely controlled via external control devices or computers
- Weighing with tolerance range (checkweighing): an optical signal supports portioning, dosing or sorting
- Freely programmable weighing unit, e.g. display directly in thread length g/m, paper weight g/m², etc.
- A special anti-shock system between the weighing plate and load cell reduces vibrations during weighing and thus ensures faster and safer weighing results
