For more than 30 years, ads-tec GmbH, headquartered in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, has been developing and producing robust IT systems for industrial use as well as complex automation solutions. As a partner and technology supplier in the field of battery management systems for lithium-ion energy storage, ads-tec is involved in a major future project for electromobility.
For research work in the field of lithium-ion energy storage systems, a safe test room had to be realized. Legislators only provide vague guidelines in this area. Safety is top priority at ads-tec GmbH with "safety first", which was reflected in a comprehensive risk analysis.
In close cooperation with ads-tec, DENIOS engineers developed a solution that is tailored precisely to the needs of the company and ensures maximum safety. A broad range of possible dangers was discussed for which there were no general answers. F90 fire protection with DIBt approval in Berlin was one of the minimum requirements.
The test room with an area of 30 m² meets all fire protection requirements. ATEX conformity is guaranteed as well as the requirements for water protection. In addition, the drip tray was equipped with an electrically conductive PE insert tray.
To make personal protection even safer, a G90 window was taken into account in the T90 entrance door. In addition to the test room, another F90 fire protection system was built as a warehouse for lithium-ion batteries.
Result and customer benefit:
Efficient use of space and maximum safety were decisive for the choice of container. Both ads-tec GmbH received the fire protection containers from DENIOS AG.
The DENIOS "plug and store" construction method, the own construction and the modern production at the main location in Bad Oeynhausen as well as the interplay of the specialized departments of both companies guaranteed a quick commissioning.
Thus, an active contribution to the protection of the environment and the protection of employees could be made.
