What is an Oil Drum Bund?

Oil drum bunds provide a containment system that surrounds the drum, either built into the design of the drum or as an external structure. The purpose of this bunded system is to provide secondary containment if the oil drum is overfilled, damaged or corroded. Bunds must hold at least 110% of the maximum capacity of the drum or 25% of the total volume of all combined containers, whichever is the larger amount.
