Environment Agency
The environment agency has 26 offices across England and Wales supported by 11,500 members of staff working on carrying out Government policy, inspecting and regulating businesses and reacting when there is an emergency such as a flood or pollution incident.
The following Environment Agency regulations are particularly informative for companies involved with hazardous and waste materials management:

The Health and safety executive
The HSE is an enforcing authority working in partnership with the Health and Safety commission to ensure that risks to people's health and safety from work activities are properly controlled.

British Standards Institute (BSI)
British Standards is the National Standards Body of the UK, responsible for facilitating, drafting, publishing and marketing British Standards and other guidelines. BSI Product Services is best known for the kite mark, the UK's first product quality mark. It also provides third party certification, specifically for CE marking - a legal requirement for certain categories of products to be sold within the EU.

United Kingdom Lubricants Association
Founded in 1918, the UKLA is the UK's lubricant industry lead trade association, providing members with advice and information on current, future and pending legislation; acting as a forum for industry views; maintaining contact with and lobbying UK Government departments and other Agencies about proposed legislative developments and providing members with help on industry wide issues.
