Hazardous Storage

Hazardous Storage: DENIOS well-established solutions for safe storage of hazardous materials.

Correct handling of hazardous materials in industry not only requires a great deal of care, but also specially developed equipment.

Take advantage of DENIOS' years of experience and expertise as a manufacturer.
DENIOS will provide you with customised system solutions approved by the DIBt (German Institute of Construction Engineering), which guarantee efficient storage of flammable, toxic, oxidising or water-polluting substances in compliance with current regulations. While your particular project is being carried out, you will enjoy the benefits of our professional project management service, which will supply you with documentation such as detailed project schedules, construction plans and storage plans during each stage of the project, therefore keeping you fully informed about the status of your project at all times.

If required, we will provide extensive, professional support in dealing with the regulatory authorities. We offer a comprehensive service - from needs analysis right through to regulatory authority inspections.

DENIOS supplies a wide range of different hazmat storage facilities to fit your requirements:

1. DENIOS System Containers - Pallet storage facilities for safe storage of hazardous substances

2. Fire Protection Containers with F90 (90 minute) fire protection on the inside and outside

3. Container Systems

4. Dangerous substance collection points in accordance with TRGS 520

1. DENIOS System Containers - Pallet storage facilities for safe storage of hazardous substances

What do you need to store?

Each system container is optimally equipped to hold particular hazardous materials requiring storage. Integrated spill trays ensure that any leakages are safely contained. For the storage of corrosive substances, plastic or stainless steel sumps are essential, due to their optimal resistance to such materials. Self-ventilating containers with potential equalisation are ideally suited for passive storage of flammable liquids (R10, 11, 12, 15 & 17) and comply with regulations on separation distances between stored items.

Each system container is optimally designed to hold all standard types of containers and ensure full use of the available storage space.

The advantages for you:
  • DIBt approval
  • Storage of a whole variety of water polluting substances in compliance with relevant storage regulations
  • Optimal dimensions for storing of (vertical or horizontal) drums and IBCs or for Euro and chemical pallets
  • Outdoor storage of larger quantities of hazardous materials
  • 100% volume collection for water
  • Wing, sliding or roller doors
  • Minimum investment per storage space

System containers with a maximum storage capacity of 12 tank containers from all water hazard classes (WGK 1-3).

System containers with all-round thermal insulation for storing substances susceptible to frost.

System containers with all-round insulation are used for temperature-controlled storage with a heating and/or refrigeration system. The air circulation system inside the system container ensures that heating or cooling energy is evenly distributed.

If required, system containers can be supplied with a projecting roof or double installation depth, so they can be loaded on both sides. You are thus able to double your maximum storage capacity.

2. Fire Protection Containers with F90 (90 minute) fire protection on the inside and outside

Fire protection containers ensure that flammable liquids are stored in compliance with regulations and offer resistance to fire for at least 90 minutes, whether the fire is on the inside or outside.

F90 fire protection containers are available in a wide range of different modules equipped with storage on pallets or as walk-in versions for storing small containers.

The advantages for you:
  • DIBt approval for the overall system
  • F90 (90 minute) fire protection
  • Effective heat insulation
  • Minimum investment per pallet storage space
  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
  • Equipment certified to environmental protection, safety and transport regulations
  • Self-closing T30 and T90 doors

3. Container Systems

Do you need an extensive storage facility? Possibly, to hold substances with different storage requirements? We can provide you with customised solutions using DENIOS Container Systems from the DENIOS System Container Range.

The modular design optimally satisfies day-to-day operational requirements and offers an extensive range of different layouts and accessories for individual system containers.

Different models:
  • Heat insulation for storing temperature-sensitive materials
  • Pitch roof or skylight
  • Explosion-protection models
  • Several storage levels to optimise use of space
  • Fire water retention systems

When used as a complete solution, container systems provide combined storage for different hazardous materials like flammable, toxic, oxidising, water-polluting, temperature-sensitive or corrosive substances.
Different storage areas offer optimum storage tailored to the requirements of individual substances and materials:

  • F90 fire protection on the inside and outside
  • Cooling and insulation systems
  • Air-conditioned storage areas
  • Ventilated dispensing areas
  • Expandable with add-on modules

4. Dangerous substances collection points in accordance with TRGS 520

DENIOS hazmat systems can easily be upgraded into dangerous substances collection and sorting points.

TRGS 520 includes special requirements for collection points and interim storage of small quantities of dangerous waste in line with hazardous substances regulations. Dangerous substances are received, classified, labelled and prepared for removal. The TRGS stations are often used in F90 fire protection. They are normally comprised of acceptance, sorting and storage areas.

The advantage of the DENIOS container solutions is their flexibility regarding the size and arrangement of the TRGS station. Ideally matched to their location, quantity structures and operational procedures, DENIOS’s TRGS stations provide an optimum solution for a whole range of uses.
