Attention is paid both to single sub-elements, such as water, air, ground, climate, as well as to their interaction. The heart of today's interest is focused above all on pollution and global warming.
The basics
The primary goal of environmental protection is to protect human living conditions. Technical solutions are often required to achieve this. The problems to be solved are global, regional and local in nature, whereby environmental protection searches above all for holistic solutions. The ever-increasing level of international communication networks and the interconnections within the world economy (globalization) give rise to a collective responsibility for the environment. The environment itself does not recognize any human borders. The goal of environmental protection is to bequeath an intact environment that can sustain the life of our future generations.
